PHOTO SESSION| WEYINMI

I really wanted to shoot someone darker skinned and the first person I thought of was Weyinmi. Once we made the plans we set out for the shoot on that Saturday. First, we played around in my cousin’s apartment complex and THEN it started raining. So we waited about thirty minutes, the rain settled and we set off into town!

My cousin was my assistant for the day, from carrying gear, to helping me pose the subject to just being an all round darling as always.

She was really shy at first especially as we were shooting right on the sidewalk, but I was very worried about losing light because the rain stopped right around half an hour to sunset.

I LOVE how much her eyes pop in this first photo!

I think dark skin is so delicious in black & white. I love it!

I really like seeing the same location look completely different in every session; almost like each person changes the location by their personal vibes. This is the same place where I shot with my cousin earlier in this post.

And this blue + her skin = yas.

I’m playing around with editing a lot until I find my vibe (which I think will forever keep changing). I think experimenting is the way you finally find your style as a writer/photographer or artist in general.

We finished off watching the sunset. Perfect end.

I’m hoping the weather holds up for a shoot I’m really excited for this weekend <3

What are your weekend plans? Tell meee.
