OUT & ABOUT| LaSoufriere and Owia Salt Ponds
I hope you’ve had a great week so far. I’ve had the week off school and spent it mostly in the ministry, studying and working on TWO projects you’ll find out about next week. It’s all been really exciting. I hope you’ll love all of it.
Last Wednesday, my friends and I went on a 4 hour STEEP hike up and down the volcano (which is inactive lol) called LaSoufriere here in St Vincent. If you follow me on instagram, by now you’ve seen some photos already, but I figured I’d document it here on my blog as well because it was truly an EXPERIENCE. The entire day was just breathtaking.
We started off really pumped to get climbing
There was sooo much fog, it felt like we were in the clouds. Apparently we were about 4,000 feet about the ground. Still I found some untouched beauties growing.
The rest stops saved many lives, including mine. Getting to the top was exhilarating!
After the hike, we had a bit of lunch and we were off to our next adventure at the Owia Salt Ponds. It is SO MAGNIFICIENT. The level of beauty is ridiculous. I just felt so grateful to be there and to witness God’s power. The waves kept rolling in and apparently the ‘mountains’ there are from lava. The backdrop is soo stunning.
We were all sore in the butts the next day but oh was it worth it!
I’m doing ministry and a barbecue with friends this weekend. I’ll also be prepping for a VERY EXCITING announcement (or two) up next week!
Do you have any fun weekend plans? Please share!
