CURRENTLY LOVING…| DECEMBER
It’s the last one of the year! How exciting! I almost did not write this one, mostly because I haven’t tried a lot of new things this month. Sigh. December was hectic. A flurry of activities and a number of things came undone and are slowly falling back in place. I spent a while relearning hope this month and I’m better for it. Now on to the few gems from the month!
Reading list: I did not read many articles this month to be very honest and my pocket app is still weighed down from articles bookmarked since November, but the ones I did read were amazing.
Osemhen is my favourite! I love this post about her pregnancy diary. I was there taking notes for posterity you know. The second part will be out soon, so watch out!
Akwaeke Emezi writing brings joy to my heart and this particular non fiction piece resonated so deeply with me. Read Who Will Claim You.
You all know how much I love Jhumpa Lahiri. She talks about how learning Italian is changing her writing (and her life). ‘In Translation’ is such a fascinating read.
I love when young wives and mothers share their honest experiences and I love Eziaha for this. This post for stay at home mums is such a fave.
If you aren’t already, you should keep up with Stories.ng end of 2015 Guest review.
Music: The only new music I listened to this month is this lovely, lovely track by Active Child ft Ellie Goulding called ‘Silhouette’. Gives me all the feels.
Movies: Oooh, thankful for long flights. This month I watched the animated movie ‘Home’ where Rihanna voices the main character. I also watched and liked ‘Me, Earl and the Dying Girl’. Be sure to check out the hilarious ‘Hot Pursuit’ starring Reese Witherspoon and Sophia Vergara.
I’ve been keeping up with Jenn Im’s Jenngle Bell Vlogs. If you have the data, do it!
Also Currently loving:
Pemi (p_betty)’s current instagram posts from Benin Republic on Instagram.
Haruki Murakami’s heartbreaking novel ‘Tsukuru Tasaki & His Years of Pilgrimage’
That’s all folks! I really wanted to do a year review, but I’m not quite ready yet. I hope you’re all well. Thanks for staying with me! And my top 5 commenters, YOU ROCK!
