Hey there lovely people!

How’s your week going? It’s Wednesday; just two more days till Friday. Or one day? These things confuse me.

Anywayyy, the money-smart Sisionabudget nominated me for a Liebster award last month! I had no idea she even reads my blog. I think I have so many “silent” readers. But you people know eez nor good to be a silent reader abi?

I’ve done a Liebster award post before (about a couple of years ago) and you can read it here, but I really liked her questions and while I’m probably not going to do the whole nominating people shebang, I’d like to answer the questions just so y’all can get to know me better, yes?

Sisi’s Questions:

Do you speak any languages other than English?

Yes. Semi-fluently, I speak Russian, Igbo and Ikwerre. I know a bit of French. I know everyone knows a bit of French but I actually took Alliance Francais classes. I’m just out of practice which is quite sad.

What do you enjoy most about blogging?

The expression of self. I love having a space that is mine just to experiment with creatively. I love the sharing and I LOVE the community. All that blogger love, yes.

What motivates you to blog?

It depends. For my monthly favorite posts, it’s usually all the wonderful things I find around. Posts about my photography and general life are probably a consequence of oversharing. I’m very excitable, especially about sharing things that I love. So, my motivation is definitely the sharing bug and my love for creating.

Do you have hobbies other than blogging?

Photography, reading, trying out new recipes, listening to music and generally faffing around on the internet.

Favourite place you have visited?

Ah. But you already know. Right now, Barbados. Sigh.

What inspires you?

People. Good, kind, creative, wise people inspire me. God inspires me. His mercy, His love, His forgiveness. Love inspires me. There’s always love in everything I write about. Music inspires me too. And nature. Nature in all her glory.

Sweet tooth?

Nope. I’m a savory girl through and through. I like ice cream though. That’s the exception.

How do you get out of a funk?

Boy. I eat ice cream/watch a good comedy/sleep. Sometimes sad music and ugly crying helps too. Other times, I go to the beach and just look at the water. It’s hard to be sad with all that glory right in front of you.

How do you make your space (home) comfortable?

I sleep with my books in my bed. And my journal too. I like to keep visible floor space empty so most of my stuff is under the bed, hanging on walls or in my closet. I like to walk into my room and see as much floor as possible. I like open curtains and bright light.

What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?

I recruited my friend, Bobola’s help in answering this question. Here’s some of what he said:

Well do people know you’re a control freak? That you worry too much? That in an effort not to take yourself seriously you still worry that you’re doing it wrong? That you like food and pretty people? You nurse little crushes, and beat yourself up for having them? You have too much faith in people? You expect the world to give back at least what you put in ( and you put in a lot)

That about sums that up.

What is your favourite song right now?

For the past few weeks, I’ve been obsessed with Ella Eyre’s We don’t have to take our clothes off. Obsessed.

Aww. The questions are done already! Great questions, Sisi. Thank you for thinking of me. You should all stop by her lovely blog for budgeting tips. I’m so bad at asking these questions so I’ll just say anyone can do this tag and answer Sisionabudget‘s questions too. I follow so many amazing blogs. If you’d like your readers to get to know you a bit better, start here.

Till soon, Afoma x
