Greetings from Barbados!
I’d like to say I’m sunning as I type but I’m a child of God and I try not to lie. I’m in bed, editing photos, in our AirBnB room. My hosts have faster internet than I have back in St Vincent; never have pictures been uploaded so quickly. I’ve even updated my VSCO and you can see style posts’ previews there. You know you wanna.
Okay, here’s the plan for blogging about Barbados:
Style posts & restaurant (or any other attractions) reviews sporadically and then after the trip, a travel guide and diary (Gotta put all these pictures up somewhere, you know?). Okay? Okay.
I found this breakfast place on Trip Advisor and they serve breakfast till 3pm. What’s not to love? It’s owned by a British couple who pretty much do basically everything by themselves.
My cousin is vlogging our trip and I’ll let you know when it’s out on YouTube if you fancy watching us gush about food and giggling a lot. She had the banana/caramel waffle and I ate an entire section of hers because I’d gotten the “regular” sized waffle, which turned out to be a square of almost nothing.
My square was a Turkey Bacon waffle which was amazing. I’d never had waffles before but they’re basically American pancakes jazzed up and made on a waffle maker. They’re great. I have to go back there before I leave.
My cousin had a latte while I had iced coffee with soymilk. It was… coffee. I liked that it was cold and sweeter than most coffees I’ve had.
This was such a great place to eat breakfast and apparently they’ve received a TripAdvisor certificate. The food was on time and perfect too. Plus they have an outdoor space and are situated in literally the prettiest neighborhood. (spoiler: nearly everything here is pretty)
Bliss Cafe, St Lawrence Gap/ Dover. Bridgetown, Barbados.
I hope you’ve all had a great week!
Till soon, Afoma x
