For Rhodes

I’ve been journaling to music lately and it’s a lot of great inspiration. I stumbled on a British artiste called Rhodes last year and his sound is so beautiful. One of my favorite songs from him is Your Soul, which inspired this post. He has a soundcloud here where you can listen to his beautiful, beautiful music.

I’m considering adding “Written for music” as a blog segment. I like the idea!

I fell into your brown eyes

I told you I was your light

But you never let anyone else be your light;

your world has always been just bright

enough for you, you say.

You must be so tired.

I am here, I say.

Let me light up your world.

You didn’t want to talk about it.

You didn’t let me hold your hand.

You left me before our magic was ripe.

You broke the spell.

You didn’t want to talk about it.

I hope everyone has a fantastic week!

Love, Afoma
