Hey guys! How’s it going? I’m doing okay. I hope you all had a great week. Mine was okay. Not great, but okay. I’m grateful. This week, I felt very unchallenged by school work, well not by school work, by my teachers. A lot of them got lazy and it’s pretty annoying when you study more than twenty pages in one night and you get asked ONE question and of course judged by that one answer. But that’s med school for you. I realized that personally a good challenge is healthy. Life is boring when nothing challenges you. Of course, we need the occasional unwinding when
we I just like to stare at walls for hours. Well, life brought me other challenges outside of school (You can trust life, never disappoints). I had to show a lot of self control this week, many times. In controlling my anger, my desire to be sarcastic in certain situations and of course my need for sleep. You know those days when people just seem to be out to annoy you? yeah, I had a lot of those. But it’s okay. It’s the weekend now.
Moving on from all things negative, on Tuesday, all Jehovah’s Witnesses around the world commemorated the death of Jesus Christ. I got to spend time with some of the people I love and of course, there are pictures! Here are some of my faves;
Writing about this stuff just made me happy all over again. Ah. T’was such a great night. This week, I also learnt that in our relationships with others, like in every thing, public opinion is very dangerous. We should try not to wash our proverbial linens in public. It sees to it that people do not have the opportunity to butt into your issues. I also read a very heartbreaking-ly good story on this site called Mused minds. It’s called Saving Ruth. It’s amazing guys! Saturday has been awesome as usual, with all my favorite people.
In response to my unchallenged state, I wrote more short stories and developed a blog post pattern; Short story Tuesday, article/ random post Thursday and weekly journal Saturday. I hope I can keep up with it. I’m also trying to devote more time to the more important things (which I’m not saying). And thanks for all the love you guys have shown my short story whose second part I posted this week. I’m glad you all enjoyed my NO WALLET! post too. Okay, maybe this is just a way of showing y’all the links if you haven’t read any of them ;). In case you missed my main lesson for the week, its to keep challenging and improving yourself! There’s always room for positive changes. Its always helpful to find a positive way to release all that pent up energy. Stay inspired guys and enjoy your weekend xx
**P.s I still haven’t replaced my wallet. I reckon I’m still suffering some Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, plus I haven’t forgiven the old one for leaving me. I mean it could have screamed my name when it was being stolen, no?
